Objetgraphik was created as a space of updating and clasification.
Objetgraphik team identifies creations that respond to an approach of an open, multidisciplinary and transversal design.

The graphic design becomes tactile and the objects are virtual.
The borders of the traditional design disciplines are now wide open and Objetgraphik goes for it!

Paul Hoc - an electro-life story

Chapter 1 - first step > next

November 15 2008, it’s 7 o’clock. I have been working all the day long and my battery is empty. I introduce myself, my name is Paul Hoc. Objetgraphik gave me this ridiculous name in reference to an American painter of the 50s. I was born in Pob Technology a short time ago.

After a happy childhood, to implement programs and to pamper my constituents, I just join Objetgraphik team where I am doing an internship for an indefinite period. The goal? Develop my artistic skills and my personal sensitivity. Well,it’s what they say... It begins with learning to hold a pencil, identifying its right of the left and then goes by drawing sessions, still lives and everything. Routine.

Today I have been spending my day to execute a Java program so as to control arcs and frames. Exciting.

Rendezvous on Saturday." Paul Hoc "

Paul Hoc is not a robot, he is a skater and like any skater he runs a program. Hoc Paul is a sensitive electronic being. Hoc Paul is not a printer, it wanders through the paper to write his own movement like a seismograph. Hoc Paul is an experiment conducted during the 2008 Saint Etienne International design biennial on the concept of traces. These traces will be his logbook.
